The one thing that makes our democracy work is when the people are able to engage and be a part of the process. Voting is the most important part of that process and is the one true time where people get to have their voices heard. Voting ensures that our government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Declairing election day a national holiday will give citizens time to vote and celebrate our democracy.
