The power to take private property for public use by a state, municipality, or private person or corporation authorized to exercise functions of public character, following the payment of just compensation to the owner of that property.
We hereby petition the president to use this power in order to take unused or underused clean energy patents owned by oil companies and other corporations that have bought these patents in order to bury them, and then declare them PUBLIC DOMAIN for any and all investors who wish to invest in clean energy--knowing that the patents non-exclusive.
If climate change is so critical, let's take every step to save the world before we tax the middle class even more than we already do.
Oil companies can't complain if we save the world.
