The carnage and bloodshed in Afghanistan have been ongoing since the invasion of Alexander the Great-the time for bold action is now. The declaration of a Gun Free Zone, while some might say is an extreme measure to take against cold-blooded killers and Jihadists, is truly needed in the country. We can soften the blow of this harsh, indiscriminate move by providing the Afghan people with bright yellow and orange signs, paid for by stimulus funds, to decorate their border crossings and consulates around the world. No guns means no violence. No violence means Afghanistan joins the ranks of other peace loving communities like Chicago, Northern Mexico and Washington, DC.
