declare February 29th (leap days) to be a national holiday celebrating the advancement of science.

Created by P.W. on January 25, 2016

As it stands today, February 29th is an anti-holiday for many Americans - an additional day of work for which their salary does not compensate them. Instead, February 29th should be made a national holiday - a day of rest in celebration of all of the profound scientific achievements that have led to our current understanding of our world's place in the universe. February 29th is an extra day and we should be free to do with it whatever we want.
