Election day in America should be a day that is inclusive for all members in society to come to the polls and cast a vote. Making election day a national holiday will provide more voices to be heard in our great nation. We are a nation that admires representative democracy; let's take a larger step to make that become more of a reality.
America is more overworked than nearly all of our industrialized country counterparts. Allowing one more day off in a calendar year to perform a civic duty is long overdue.
