Declare the flag of the United States of America a national treasure.

Flags have always been a rallying point. Not only on the battle field in times of war, but also in peace. They have identified a people, an idea and have for many people of this country it has been a symbol of everything we hold dear. Regardless if we add states or take away, the flag that this country flies says everything about us. Black, white, red or green it has come to symbolize a group of peoples who can govern themselves. Not always in the best traditions of our beliefs but again, willing to be imperfect... change... and a flag that can bring tears to the eyes of grown men and women who believe it is worth dying for. The flag and our country are one. Burn the flag and you burn out country. Ask any vet.
