Declare the Internet to be its own Sovereign entity Independent of any outside Governmental influences

The Internet has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and has surpassed the expectations of those who had a hand in its creation.
However the Internet has recently become a source of conflict by various entities. These entities would like to limit the Internet in ways that could lead to the destruction of this unique and valuable resource.
Therefore I believe that it would be in the best interests of Humanity for us to declare the Internet its own sovereign entity and given the opportunity to form it own governmental bodies to regulate and police it.
