Tim Howard, starting goalkeeper for the United States Men's National Soccer Team, set a FIFA World Cup Record with 16 saves against the Belgian National Team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Salvador, Brazil on July 1st, 2014. It is the most saves by a goalkeeper in World Cup history since FIFA began recording stats in 1966. In honor and recognition of Tim's record-setting performance and dedication to the game of soccer in the United States, we ask the Obama Administration to designate July 1st as "National Tim Howard Day".
