As a nation, we have celbrated our patriotism with pride through our 4th of July festivities for hundreds of years. In the years since, we have come to represent diversity to the rest of the world through our democratic values. "Interdependence Day" would expand on the ethos that embodies by Independence Day by reaffirming our shared membership amid a broader common humanity, embracing the dignity of the human person, regardless of nationality, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, military affiliation, age, or political persuasion. Thusly, this day would honor our interdependence and reliance upon other humans across the world through celebrating an American commitment to the welfare of all.
