On June 12, 2016 we witnessed the worst massacre in US modern history, following many others in the last few years. This time, it was also a hate crime. As our President said; "...we will draw inspiration from heroic and selfless acts -- friends who helped friends, took care of each other and saved lives. In the face of hate and violence, we will love another. We will not give in to fear or turn on each other. Instead, we will stand together..."
Let's bring greater national awarness by making June 12 the US official day to remember the victims of mass-murder and hate-crimes. A candle light vigil at sunset symbolizing light turned into darkness for those gone.
Hopefully, one day we will look back, as a mass-shooting and hate-crimes free society, and it will all be memories of long gone era.
