In appreciation of and to honor the District of Columbia v Heller Supreme Court decision on 26 June 2008 and to declare the importance of the firearm in US history, including the possession of firearms by civilians for militia and self defense, this petition to assign June 26th as NATIONAL FIREARMS DAY is summitted.
