Federal law prohibits a person adjudicated as "mentally defective" from owning a gun. Mr. LaPierre has exhibited the symptoms below, sufficient for government requirement of mental assessment:
Oppositional Defiant Disorder: Recurrent pattern of defiant and hostile behavior towards authority
Delusional Disorder: Delusions of persecution or grandeur
Panic Disorder: Attacks of fear or of losing control
Amnestic Disorders: Impairment in the ability to learn new information, accompanied by inability to recall previously learned information. Ex: Support/opposition of background checks
Personality Disorders: Enduring, inflexible, and maladaptive personality traits deviating from cultural expectations
Shared Psychotic Disorder: Delusions from close relationship to others who have disorders
