Opening Day is an American tradition. Like Spring, it's symbolic of a fresh start, rebirth and hope. Anticipation of great things to come! The electricity in the air is palpable! It's a day that begins with everyone as an EQUAL!!!
An opportunity for family bonding. An opportunity to join together as a Nation under the banner of our National pastime. Who doesn't get chills when they hear our Anthem followed by the old familiar call... "PLAY BALL!!!"
It should be a day set aside for "We the People" to come together and show the world our family, community and national UNITY thru the vehicle of Major League Baseball.
