In 2016 nearly 800 people were killed in the municipality of Chicago. Many of the deaths were victims of gang and gun violence. On the first day of 2017,3 people were killed and 27 were wounded by gun violence. We the people would like to ask the Presidential administration and Congress to declare martial law, or a martial law type military presence in Chicagos dangerous neighborhoods to ensure the safety of the people!
