Given the importance of the Super Bowl to the culture and economy of the United States, let us declare the Monday after the Super Bowl to be a national holiday. All schools, places of business and government offices should be required to close on this day. This will promote the culture and general welfare of the country by allowing everyone to more fully enjoy the game without worrying about getting to work the next day. Productivity would increase because everyone would have an extra day to rest before beginning their week. Closing government offices would save us money. This would also promote highway safety by reducing the number of drunk drivers on the road.
