Football is America's sport. Every year, around the first Sunday of February, it culminates with the National Football League's Championship game, The Super Bowl. Tens of millions of Americans tune in to watch the top two teams in the NFL duke it out for gridiron dominance and to see what company has the best new advertisement of the season. Most gather in their homes with friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy such a spectacle. The next day, Monday, people are tired and worn out from all the cheering and are sluggish at work. Making the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday a National Holiday will not only allow a much needed day of rest, but conclude the Football season with a day of reflection and anticipation for next year.
