Gun violence is an epidemic in our nation. While there appears to be little political agreement on what to do about it, we can at least "stand down" for a day, like the military will do if it has lots of accidents, and have a national day of prayer for ourselves, for victims, for guidance on what to do to help us with this terrible scourge.
