The NRA are a crackpot organisation that focus on the exclusivity of a piece of irrelevancy in the US Constitution, the Second Amendment, which has no relationship to modern US society.
There is NO reason for citizens to have access to ludicrously high powered firearms.
By supporting this second amendment, the NRA are both directly and indirectly responsible for the many deaths by firearms that occur in the United States. These deaths outnumber yearly the number of US soldiers that die in the "war on terror". It would appear to me that people are more terrified of their fellow US citizens than the conventional "terrorist". After all, that terrorist has to pass multiple border checks on controls - there is no control on their fellow citizens.
