Theatre has been a part of the society of the United States for many generations, and yet the theatrical community does not and has never had a national theatre. There are many different places that are worthy of this honor and I think it is time that we petition and put it to a vote.
I hearby propose that after a lengthy discussion on the subject of the location and a determination to be made by a committee of advisers on the subject, the White House takes steps to declare a national theater in the United States.
