Whereas the Federal Government recognizes every citizen's right to vote, the ability of a person to vote has not been federally recognized. Many states do not have early voting systems in place, meaning November 8th is the only day the citizens of those states could vote for President, Senators, Representatives, and Issues. The average American day-to-day life is very busy, with work or personal issues taking all the time they have in that one single day. Some Americans work from before the polls open to after the polls close, so their vote is completely useless. If the government really wants its citizens to "go out and vote", then they should at least promote the ability to do so by declaring Election Day a National Holiday. It is a national embarrassment to squander voters like this.
