The NRA is thumbing it's nose at 90% of our citizens by having their bought-and-paid-for politicians prevent any reasonable gun-safety legislation. They are preventing passage of even the background checks that they supported in the past. They care a lot more about gun manufacturer's profits than they do about our safety.
