Every time there is a mass shooting and the country decides that enough is enough and there is a push for a ban on assault weapons as well as other laws to curb gun violence, the NRA uses it's money to confuse the public and threaten politicians (who are only concerned about keeping their jobs rather than doing them) into keeping domestic terrorists armed and scaring citizens into purchasing more guns in a false scenes of security thinking that a gun is a defensive weapon. The only way it can be used for defense is to be the first to use it for offence. While the NRA is not the one that is doing the shooting... they are providing support and aid to the terrorist that are.
