Declare the NRA a terrorist organization. Over 30,000 Americans die annually from gun violence by suicide or murder.

Terrorism is defined as, "the systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective."* The NRA has pushed legislation promoting relaxed carry laws, less-restricted gun sales, and the sale of high-powered assault rifles. This has become a vicious circle selling point made by the NRA: we citizens can protect ourselves from gun violence by owning guns. However, statistics bear out that people who carry or own guns are actually MORE likely to be shot and killed.**
The NRA openly advocates a culture of violent death by promoting gun ownership. They should be shut down because this organization is a destructive, terrorist group hurting Americans.
