Declare Persistent Online Authentication DRM policies as harmful and unfair to consumers.

Created by E.A. on March 07, 2013

Consumers need protection from unfair and deceptive Persistent Online Authentication digital rights management practices by software developers such as EA and Blizzard. Use of such software titles are subject to the the developer's authentication servers being available and supported. Therefore, consumers who attempt to purchase and install software titles in a fully compliant and legal manner on their own personal computers may be unable to use the software through no fault of their own. Software titles could become unusable if authentication servers are too busy due to high volume, become unavailable or defective, of if the developer chooses to no longer support the title.
