Many Law Enforcement organizations are abusing federal wiretap laws to arrest and harass citizens who are recording those same government employees while they perform their duties in public places.
Several lower courts have recognized the First Amendment protection of such acts, and this needs to be Federally recognized as a protected act.
Freedom to safely record the police while they are performing their public service in a public place can only provide a safer society.
Individual citizens have no "expectation of privacy" in public places, Law Enforcement officers should not either.
