The second amendment was not created for hunters, or for sport. The purpose of the second amendment was for the protection and security of The United States of America and her people.
This amendment was created to protect our people, and our freedoms. It is there to defend us against foreign invaders and tyrannical governments which under this amendment gives us the right to own semi automatics, whether they are military style or not.
this also means that attempts to restrict them by restricting the ammunition they use, the magazines they use, or attempts to change the very function of these rifles themselves would be unconstitutional.
