Foreseeing the event that situations arise such that the Constitution cannot ensure the full continuity of governance, the founding fathers wrote a clear means by which the Constitution may be amended to adjust for flaws and shortcomings. We ask that the President call upon both the State Legislatures and/or the Congress to convene and pass amendments that forbid a debt ceiling and ensure the full financial continuity of government, so that no minority shall ever again be capable of holding the economy of the U.S. government hostage by means of threatening to shutdown the government by means of a budget lapse, or by threatening to allow the government to default on its debts.
