Declare a State of Emergency in Ferguson, Missouri

Created by B.S. on August 14, 2014

To President Barack Obama and all administration staff:

We, the undersigned, urge you to immediately declare a State of Emergency in Ferguson, Missouri. Over the past five days, the violence by the police and state authorities against the unarmed protestors has reached appalling levels. Reports abound of unlawful arrests, attacks on women and children, and impeding and censorship the media. Declaring a State of Emergency is not a whole or even a partial solution to the unrest, but such an action will help focus much-needed national attention on Ferguson, and hopefully garner more aid for the protestors.
