declare unaccompanied minors from Central American countries as refugees under Section 207(b) of the Immigration Act.

Created by E.H. on July 09, 2014

Unaccompanied minors from Central American countries are reaching the U.S. border and are being held in military bases until their futures can be determined. Often times, these children have experienced traumatic events in their countries of origin and on their way up to the north. These children, much like U.S. racial and ethnic groups, have suffered oppression and have survived atrocities for which they seek refuge in the United States. We urge you Mr. President, for once in the history of the U.S.A, that you grant our neighbor children to the south "refugee" status.
