Declaring A Grief Awareness Day

Created by A.C. on May 08, 2013

This is not a petion to remind us to grieve. We don't need a day to remind us. This day is one time a year we can use education, and experiences to let others know about grief. To smash the myths of grief. To shed light on the cliches commonly used on grievers everyday all around the world. To see how grief affects our health our lives in more ways then people think. Grieving is not done in a straight line. The old cliche " You need to move on.' Creates harm and hurts grievers." You should be over by now." Is used also on the grieving. These and so many more comments are how many handle grief. It my hope with this day we can create change in the way our world sees grief. We can start a new conversation. The old way has not worked. In some ways it has caused more grief.Thank you for your
