On November 29, seven U.S. Senators wrote a letter calling for President Obama to declassify and release more information about Russia’s involvement in the U.S. election. Six of those Senators sit on the Senate Intelligence Committee. The letter read:
“We believe there is additional information concerning the Russian Government and the U.S. election that should be declassified and released to the public. We are conveying specifics through classified channels."
We call on the President to declassify the aforementioned "specifics" and any other information regarding Russian interference in the U.S. elections. This information is vital to the American people's confidence in the election system and results, and would be in keeping with the President's promised commitment to transparency.
