President Obama claims that he welcomes the debate on the NSA's surveillance of foreign and domestic communications. We cannot have that debate without transparency. The Guardian's Glenn Greenwald has reported on the existence of a secret FISA Court opinion, approximately 80 pages in length, that ruled that NSA surveillance activities had been in violation of the U. S. Constitution or federal law. We are concerned citizens who feel outraged over the fact that federal judges may be aiding and abetting criminal activity by the NSA and law enforcement agencies. The President must first confirm or deny the existence of such court opinions and then promptly declassify their contents. Our democracy is at stake - Congress and the American people must no longer be kept in the dark.
