Schedule 1 drugs, according to the DEA, have "no accepted medical use," and we know that is NOT the case with Marijuana. There are 18 STATES in this country that have passed legislation allowing the growth, sale & consumption of Marijuana for medical purposes.
We are wasting precious resources prosecuting individuals for the possession or sale or use of a PLANT. Two states have legalized cannabis for recreational use. It's time to turn this around and allow US farmers to take control of this cash crop & take the power away from the CARTELS that have been ruining Mexico & several South American countries, and that have continued to put a major dent in our nation's resources.
Marijuana has NEVER killed anyone, therefore, it should be up to individuals to decide if they will use it or not.
