We the undersigned believe that a democratic government must inform it's citizens when matters of national security call upon us to sacrifice our life or liberty.
On Wed Jun 5 the British media reported that Verizon is complying with a lawful and order to turn over the call records of all of it's customers for a 3 month period ending July 19th.
We the undersigned respectfully submit that any sacrifice of liberty of this magnitude requires a public accounting.
While we hope this order from the FISA court is the broadest surveillance order to ever have been issued and as "the people" who are this country we demand such seemingly unreasonable action receive the public accounting it deserves.
