Hamid Abutalebi has applied for a diplomatic visa to the US in order to represent Iran at the UN. He was an active participant in the taking hostage of 44 American Diplomatic personnel during the "Islamic Revolution" of 1979 in Iran, and is specifically valued by Iran for this participation. None of the Americans held for 444 days has eve been compensated for this illegal and undiplomatic imprisonment. It is therefore an direct insult to these 44 individuals and also to our country to allow this person entry.
