Decrease the amount and severity of the restrictions placed upon minors trying to work in this country.

This petition carries a purpose to relieve the stress, not only in the employee, but on the employer as well. If a minor exceeds 30 hours worked in a workweek, the employer can be fined and removed from their position. I, as a minor, consider myself eligible to work as much as I would like. I am 17 years old. I turn 18 in 5 or 6 months. But I'm limited to 6 hours and day (which on a school day, just isn't possible) and no more than 8 on the weekend. I have needs. I have debts! These limitations not only limit the amount of time I work; they limit the amount of money I can earn. And as all working members of this society know, minor or adult, the less money you make, the less you can provide for yourself. I'm not saying work me 60 hours a week, but I am saying that I can fit 40 in per week.
