The citizens of America, more than ever in history, are exposed to sexual content, primarily on the internet. This impacts children, men, and women alike. One cannot log onto any website, including news sites, e-mail, and social networking websites, without seeing a picture of a female being exposed in either a ad or link to another website. These images and contextual innuendo increase sexual desire in males which furthers to objectify women or cause men to lash out sexually and likely illegally. This is unfair to the current generation and detrimental to a healthy way of life and healthy mental health. Laws must be placed on the internet to limit the sexual content seen by the average internet user, and these issues need not be defended by the first amendment, freedom of speech.
