Decrease congress members pay to the average american pay, giving them incentive to care about the state of the economy.

Created by A.H. on January 31, 2014

The current salary (2014) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year, along with a yearly "allowance". How can they know what life is like for the average american who lives paycheck to paycheck? They cant. Decreasing their pay to what the average american makes will give congress members incentive to do what is best for the economy, not their own pocketbooks. Congress controls the government, period. They don't care about the average person. Let's make them care.
