decrease earnings of congressional members as a measure to rectify the economy.

Created by E.A. on November 15, 2012

We ask that until a resolution to the fiscal cliff issue is found the members of congress suffer the same consequences as their constituents during the recession and recovery: including a cut in pay and losing taxpayer funded medical coverage.

The purpose of congress is to work for the people that vote them into office, however the current congress is more interested in standing behind their respective political parties than their constituents.

The only way to ensure that politicians are honestly invested in the well-being of the people whom they represent would be if they faced the same consequences to a job poorly done.
