I am creating this petition because I believe that age discrimination is an ever growing problem in this country. Not only are minors being discriminated against, but people of all young ages alike. What scientific information has been found to set the age of majority at 18? Without giving minors rights when they're fully capable of possessing them, we end up with a bleak future. Even with the option of emancipation, most minors have slim chances of this happening. This being said, age should not delegate political matters, because age doesn't prove one's true intelligence. I urge American people to realize that this is another form of discrimination in our country, as real as any other discrimination, and laws delegating the age of majority need to be changed.
