Decrease the number of H-1B visas

Created by B.W. on April 20, 2014

Currently, USCIS, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, issues a whopping 85,000 H-1B visas each year, which include 65,000 as regular cap and 20,000 as Master's exemption (people with degree higher than Master will fall in this category). Information on USCIS shows that companies are eager to take jobs away from United States citizens: "USCIS received about 172,500 H-1B petitions during the filing period which began April 1, including petitions filed for the advanced degree exemption." H-1B visa holders work in areas where United States citizens with similar skillsets are unemployed.

Please provide less visas for these greedy foreign workers and employers!
