Decrease the number of hours in a school day.

Created by A.T. on February 06, 2013

Sleep deprivation is a serious issue, especially amoung teenagers. Not getting enough sleep can make it difficult to focus, learn, develope, and function properly. Teenagers find it especially difficult to get the proper amount of rest with school, clubs, sports, homework, studying, and socializing. Getting the recommended 9-10 hours of sleep a night for teenagers is near impossible with all of those factors. So, in order to aid proper development and learning, school hours should be shortened by two hours. This will give students the ability to have two extra hours of rest in the morning.
