Decrease the Restriction on Firearm Usage

Created by C.F. on November 14, 2014

Since gun control, murder rates and school shootings have only increased. School shootings have been more common. Why? Restricting firearms makes it harder to obtain them legally. However, very few of these tragedies have been committed using legally obtained weapons. All this does is make it more difficult for innocent civilians to obtain guns for protection, while doing nothing to stop the circulation of illegal firearms.

The second amendment has been taken to mean that firearms are to protect the state, without guaranteeing individual rights to weapons. Is the state not made up of people? If this amendment doesn't defend the people, then who does it defend?
