Decrease teenage gang violence in Chicago by forcing Chicago Public Schools to make an after school activity mandatory

Created by D.W. on February 01, 2014

I am petitioning to halt the increase of teenage gang violence in Chicago, IL.

Gang violence starts at very young ages. Young teens join gangs to feel safe or know they are affiliated with a group of people. To decrease these teens from joining early in there lives we must enforce to all Chicago Public Schooling that it will be mandatory for all students enrolled to join a sport, club, or after school activity. In hope, this will allow all students to think of themselves apart of a safer and smarter group, rather than resulting in joining gangs.
