Decree that pro football is the USA's "National Pastime" and refrain from referring to baseball as such.

Created by T.D. on January 18, 2013

-We the People of the United States which to reflect changing tastes in our culture. Therefore we feel that given it tremendous popularity, especially in comparison to baseball, that the United States government officially recognize professional football as its "National Pastime". This designation, while carrying no actual rights or privileges, seeks to a) acknowledge that baseball no longer carries the same kind of influence in our society as it once does b) recognizes the profound effect that pro football has on American society and c) provides a subject that can be debated (hopefully in a civil and responsible manner) without involving partisan politics or childless name-calling.
