Marijuana should be decriminalized and heavily taxed to allow the freedom of choice for adults of 21 years or older, similar to alcohol laws.
The tax savings from enforcement, prison, and other criminal justice programs for marijuana only offences in conjunction with the huge potential tax revenues would provide a potentially large influx of federal tax dollars that should be ear marked directly by law for American Programs. Programs such as improving the education system, health care programs, and infrastructure such as high speed rail systems and reaching 100% broadband access.
The market obviously exists for marijuana, by opening the door for this market with strict oversight, it will spur growth in many additional vertical markets.
