Decriminalize and Legalize Marijuana Federally

Created by C.H. on May 03, 2014

The war on drugs has been raging in this country for decades and has done nothing to actually help the problem. Actually, it has expanded the problem and created new problems.

Marijuana is safer than alcohol and cigarettes, yet people end up serving prison sentences for using it. Sometimes, marijuana users end up serving harsher prison sentences than violent crimes.

With recent studies on the benefits of marijuana usage and now 2 states in this great nation legalizing it, it is time to legalize it or at least decriminalize it federally.

Many vets suffering from PTSD could greatly benefit from using marijuana, yet if they live in Colorado, where it is legal, they can still be charged federally or discharged from the military.

This has to stop!
