Marijuana has long been a source of medicine, building material, fiber, fuel and food. More deaths have been attributed to the use of alcohol, cigarettes, and other illicit drugs, but none have been linked with marijuana. It is time that United States recognizes that hemp can be a bountiful, renewable resource for our country's growth. It will promote job creation, health, a greener environment and could possibly, indirectly, lower the usage of other harder, more harmful drugs.
