Despite the lack of any objective evidence for the dangers of recreational marijuana use, and the preponderance of evidence for the medical, industrial, and commercial uses of both manila hemp products and marijuana, the department of justice continues to unjustly criminalize the trade and use of this plant and its products. As a result, many billions of dollars of the national treasury and many lives of it's citizens have been lost in an ill-conceived "war on drugs" based mostly on racial and class bias. It has come time to end this injustice and allow adults to decide, as they do with alcohol, tobacco, and other legal controlled substances, freedom to use as they wish. Reasonable laws regarding should be created that do not unfairly restrict these freedoms.
