Decriminalize the use of marijuana for medical conditions. Billions of dollars are spent in prosecution of those in possession of marijuana, when that money could be used for other things such as education. Marijuana benefits a vast amount of medical conditions and, being a natural remedy (plant), it shall be used at the people's own risk. It is an individual's right as a human, and one's overall decision to ingest any substance in general. States who have legalized the use of medical marijuana have noticed a drastic decrease in crime rates, and an overall peace of mind for those with medical conditions who need marijuana to reduce chronic pains, anxiety, nausea, muscle spasms and so much more. We, Texans, are not asking for legalization, we are asking for decriminalization overall.
